Dr. Michelle K. Man is a medical optometrist specializing in cornea and contact lenses, keratoconus, myopia management, dry eye disease, and primary eye care in Chicago.

Dr. Man specializes in medical eye care and advanced scleral/contact lens fitting. She has a passion for managing keratoconus and corneal ectasia, post-transplant, and ocular surface/dry eye disease. She is certified in myopia management with treatment options such as orthokeratology, multifocal contact lenses, and atropine eye drops.

Dr. Man received her degree from the UC Berkeley School of Optometry with clinical honors. She graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology from UCLA. Dr. Man further completed a Cornea and Contact Lens Residency, where she trained at the Illinois College of Optometry (ICO) and the University of Chicago. She was presented with the GP Lens Institute Clinical Excellence Award and the Sheldon Wechsler Contact Lens Residency Award for her expertise in fitting specialty lenses. Dr. Man utilizes innovative technology, including impression-based scleral fitting and higher order aberration correction, for which she received the 2023 Trailblazer Excellence plaque by OVITZ.

Dr. Man is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO) and serves on the Advisory Board for the GP Lens Institute. She is 1 of 275 international Fellows of the Scleral Lens Education Society (FSLS) and is on the committee to review fellowship candidates. Dr. Man has been a faculty member at ICO, with extensive experience teaching students and residents in the Cornea Clinic and Urgent Eye Care Clinic. She participates in clinical research and presents at national meetings.

She joined University Ophthalmology Associates in July 2024.
